Customizing Curricula Episodes

All Curricula episodes can be customized with information specific to your organization so that your Learners will be aware of organizational policies or procedures relating to the topics covered in training. When enabled, custom information will be presented at the end of Curricula episodes.

How to Customize Curricula Episodes

Curricula episodes can be customized at the Assignment level within the content section. From the mycurricula.com admin platform, click on the ‘Assignments’ tab and then select the Assignment whose episodes you want to customize. Once selected, click on the ‘Content’ tab to begin customizing.

Click the ‘Customize’ button for the specified episode and expand the specifications to add two organization-specific items to the training episode.

  1. Policy Links — If you have a published organizational policy on the particular training topic(s) covered in a particular episode, and you want your Learners to review that policy during their training, the customization feature allows you to add it to the end of a Curricula episode.

    To add a Policy Link to a Curricula training episode, click the ‘Add Policy Link’ button and enter a label and your policy’s website URL in the boxes provided.

  2. Security Contacts — A Security Contact is someone within your organization whom your Learners can go to with their questions on the security awareness topic covered in training. More often than not this will be a member of the IT department, but depending on the topic, you may want to list someone else as the in-house expert.

    To add a Security Contact to a Curricula training episode, click the ‘Add Security Contact’ button and enter that individual’s contact information — name, email address, phone number, etc. — which will display at the end of the training episode.

Follow the same steps on an episode-by-episode and an assignment-by-assignment basis to ensure your Learners know where to go with their questions.

Want to Customize a New Assignment?

All customizations for new Assignments are done in the Step 1: Content section. Click on the ‘Add Content’ button, you will see a pop-up of all the Episodes currently available to your organization. Select each episode you’d like to air this year. Once selected, simply click the ‘Done’ button at the bottom right-hand corner.
